How to Become a Supplier

There are many benefits for suppliers who work with Medbuy. It's an opportunity to grow your business while providing Canada's health services providers with tremendous value. In return, the supplier community has always been able to depend upon the high-level contract compliance our Members adhere to.

So how do you become a Medbuy supplier? First, your company must be awarded a contract following a full RFP process. Our membership entrusts us with public monies and as such, Medbuy adheres to a fair and equitable sourcing process. To facilitate the process, we have made finding and bidding on our opportunities as easy and accessible as possible for the supplier community. Here's how to participate in the process and have the opportunity to become a Medbuy suppler.

  1. Register with us

We encourage all potential suppliers to register with Medbuy for access to mSourcing, our web-based sourcing system. A supplier can register for an account at any time and you do not need to wait for a specific contract opportunity to do so.

However, access to mSourcing is required to submit a bid or response. So we recommend that suppliers register for access in advance of an RFP event, since the process could take up to two (2) business days to complete. There is no cost to register.

To register, go to our online Help Centre and complete the form to "Become a Registered Supplier". Registration requires the following information:

    • Name and title
    • Business name and type of organization
    • Business address
    • E-mail and web address
    • Telephone and fax numbers
    • DUNS number
    • Name of Medbuy contact person listed in the Biddingo posting if applicable
  2. Begin your search for opportunities on Biddingo.com

We post all of our contract opportunities (Request for Proposals) on Biddingo.com.

Biddingo is a fee-based, public procurement website for provincial, municipal, education, crown corporation, construction and healthcare sectors across Canada.

Medbuy does not directly distribute a list of current opportunities or post a list on our website. As such, we strongly recommend that interested suppliers regularly monitor Biddingo for potential opportunities.

We do have a list of our existing contracts so suppliers can see the products and services currently available to our membership. Click here to view our existing contracts.

  3. Ask us for an invitation to an RFP event

Once you find an opportunity of interest, contact the Medbuy staff member listed in the Biddingo posting to receive an e-mail invitation.

The invitation will contain a link for you to view RFP documentation and submit your response electronically. To access our sourcing system, you'll need to register as outlined above in step one. If you need assistance, please contact us.

  4. Once you've received an invitation to an RFP event

You may find that you need help using mSourcing to respond to an RFP. The following training module is a great initial reference tool that can help you learn how to use this application, which is required to respond to a Request. Click here to download the instructional presentation.
