R.E.D. Fund
At Medbuy, leadership and vision extends beyond the bottom line to other issues of importance to our membership. Medbuy manages more than $1 million in its Research, Education and Development (R.E.D.) Fund, which supports industry initiatives and learning and training experiences for Members.
Income for Medbuy's R.E.D. Fund is contributed by Medbuy's contracted suppliers. A portion of the annual contributions are allocated to strategic industry initiatives which benefit the entire healthcare industry, regardless of membership status.
The R.E.D. Fund is governed by a central committee that reports to the Medbuy Board of Directors.
The Fund is used to:
- Allow individuals at Member facilities to maintain professional accreditation and attend educational events
- Conduct educational seminars on specific topics of interest
- Sponsor industry educational events
- Support project grants for practice research
- Support long-term projects of strategic interest to Members
